Be My Friend – www.myspace.com Nutrition by Natalie Nutrition and Your Mental Health What does nutrition have to do with mental health? You might be surprised to find out the truth behind what happens when a person has a nutritional deficiency. Nutritional deficiencies can cause all sorts of psychiatric symptoms including apathy, low energy, irritability, insomnia, low energy, agitation, fatigue, concentration problems, aches and pains, weight changes, including weight loss or weight gain. Sound a lot like the symptoms of depression? The truth is the average American diet of fast food is low in vital nutrition that you need for your body to function correctly. This isn’t to say that all depression is caused by bad nutrition but it’s certainly a contributing factor in many cases and poor nutrition will always make depression worse. Antidepressant drugs also do not correct nutritional problems. So if your depressed because of nutritional problems an antidepressant will only partially cover up the problem and you body still won’t function correctly. Thank you for doing this video. I’ve been considering why fast food was bad, and have been monitoring my intake. I truly believe eating better will improve my attitude, thank you again for preparing this. I have taken notes, and am going to the store! Seriously!

I still say the best way to lower high blood pressure and to maintain healthy arteries is by taking ALISTROL.
Also, if you are suffering from Depression/Anxiety, take all natural DEPRESSIONFIGHTERS natural supplements.
No side effects! Doctor recommended. Clinically tested! Google it!

Very interesting subject. I do agree with you that nutrition plays a roll in mental health. However, there are other things too as shown in the slide film i made on ways to be mentally healthy.

yes but you forgot to get into the details of the food your naming. People cant just go buy any kind of bread or spinach. Monsanto’s controls almost all our food supply and some of our food that was once known to have nutrition value has slim to none any more. Organic is the way to go. This is good info but it can be misleading because of the lack of detail.

Thanks for the warning! Did you know about Codex Alimentarus? If not, please research it. It’s threat to our right to eat healthy food, vitamins and supplements as it allows corporations to control our food supply. It goes into effect December 31, 2009, in both Canada and the U.S.

to me having a bad diet is like wearing tracksuit pants everywhere, at first its so comfy then eventually its like, ‘hey I wanna start wearing nice clothes, I’m sick of looking like crap’. I just see how its cool to eat junk food, the money u spend on it could be spent on healthy food, u could save that money, buy little treats etc
